There are also free publications as well as links to educational events. treaties.un.org/ The 2020 global ceasefire responded to a formal call on 23 March by UN Secretary-General António Manuel de Oliveira Guterres for a global ceasefire as part of the UN response to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. On 24 On 1 June 2020, 170 UN Member States and Observers signed a non-binding declaration in support of the call, which increased to 172 on 25 June 2020, and on 1 July 2020, the UN Security Council adopted a resolution calling for a general and immediate cessation of hostilities worldwide for at least 90 days.   India and Pakistan, for example, have fought three major wars for Kashmir since India`s independence in 1947, but have only signed a formal peace treaty to conclude Bangladesh`s war of independence in 1972.
While ceasefires or ceasefires have interrupted two of the other wars, India and Pakistan have never managed to conclude a formal peace treaty to resolve the Kashmir issue. In contrast, Israel and Egypt signed the Camp David Agreement in 1979. Before Camp David, the two countries had fought several great wars.
